5 out of 5 starsThe day I received my first two copies of this book (for myself and my mom), I ordered two more for my BFFs who have helped me survive the pandemic. This is a beautiful and humorous documentation of difficult times.

5 out of 5 starsAt first I thought of Amabie Iterations as a collection of drawings, but it is more than that. If you read through from beginning to end, you will find that it is an excursion through the author's developing depiction of Amabie and also a story of dealing with Covid-stress. I found the drawings with Diana's quiet humor, together with their development through time soothing. Yes, it takes time, and sometimes it is inconvenient, but we can deal with Covid. Be patient. And maybe some friendly fire-dogs will lend a hand. If you just pick it up and look at a couple of drawings, the impact is not as great. Read it.

5 out of 5 starsAmabie has been a bright spot on twitter all during the pandemic. Beautifully drawn with hopeful, encouraging messages, I was hoping that there'd be a collection, that Amabie wouldn't just disappear. And here are the Amabie Iterations! The book arrived quickly and it is lovely, a treasure. Diana's a wonderful writer and illustrator. We're enjoying it here at the Prickly household. Thank you!

5 out of 5 starsThis book is incredible! The art is beautiful - it is amazing that Diana was able to come up with so many different things for Amabie to do. I loved reading about the development of her amabie art style. The view into the early days of the pandemic was interesting - it seems so long ago and yet it was just last year. The texture of the cover and pages is also thick and nice, and the book is a lot of art!

5 out of 5 starsLoved learning about Amabie and following along on Twitter when these were created. Looked forward to seeing each one and they were a bright spot during the pandemic. So glad they are preserved in a book.

5 out of 5 starsI was only expecting the illustrations, but this book is much more than that. Artistically laid out with interesting commentary, it helped me to think back about the pandemic year in a way that stirs up the good memories
